The Costs:
I offer two types of pricing structures.
Commercial use: I am often asked to photograph executives and make a variety of business and workplace portraits which are used in corporate/business websites, print publications, advertising, etc. Images made on these types of assignments are, as per US Copyright law, "licensed" for specific commercial uses. Fees are based on the type and extent of use the client may require. My usage terms and fees are calculated to be transparent, fair and reflective of the true value the images might bring in helping you achieve your goals.
Non-commercial use: I also love shooting personal portraits which so many people need to keep their social media fresh and share with loved ones. I try to keep the process simple. I charge a basic session fee which grants perpetual personal non-commercial usage to the photographs. The session fees typically begin at $250. The client can access their pictures on the web gallery, download files, and order prints through the highly regarded professional photo labs I use .
Any additional production expenses such as studio fees, assistants or special equipment are charged in addition to the usage fees. After we talk I'll have a better sense of your needs and be able to give an accurate quote.

Who to Hire: Important Considerations
The Photography I offer is really a very personalized service, based on years of very broad experience, sophisticated aesthetic sensibilities, highly evolved photographic skills and a deep commitment to professionalism, excellence and customer service. I do this work because I love meeting people and working with them to make pictures that reflect who they really are.
Whether you choose to work with me or another photographer make your decision carefully. Hire somebody whose work, style and professional history really match your needs. In this online everything, app-driven age a number of photography sites pop up on Google offering services at surprisingly low cost. But buyer beware. The best is not typically the cheapest. Fine portraiture is not about algorithmic matching and offshore customer service. It's skill, talent, attentiveness to personal relationships that can make a great portrait reflecting your unique spirit and character. Thanks for looking at my site. Please give me a call so I can see how help fulfill your needs. Sincerely, Dan Lamont
